Sunsets

The photography bug has bit me again.  Sometimes when I get busy doing other things I forget to pick up the camera and admire everything around me through the lense.  Sometimes I see things in a whole new light when I look at them through my camera. 

This time I tried to capture the sunset.  And I am pretty pleased with what I have done.  I know there is room for improvement, but I am working on it.  What do you think?  Do you have a favorite?

2007 Lunar Eclipse

The beginning of the Lunar Eclipse on Saturday, March 3.  McD was building the fence and I was checking cattle when I remembered the Lunar Eclipse would be happening at 6:26pm. I drove like a bat out of hell to get home (I love Meatloaf's album Bat Out of Hell).  I came down the drive a bit faster than McD likes me to, so before he could tell me how I shouldn't barrel down the drive like that I hollered at him to jump in the truck.  We drove to the top of the hill and looked and looked for that crazy eclipse.  It seems like it took forever to find it, but when we did it looked like the first photo. 

I am a multi-tasker.  I had my phone up to my ear and camera in my hands.  McD also had his phone to his ear.  We were calling everyone we could think of, okay only four people, to remind them to look for it.  We only got a hold of my parents.  They saw it, but I am not sure if any of the others saw it.  I don't know how long it will be until we see one again, but we don't have to worry about it.  We have these photos to look back on.

The moon was amazing all night long.  I got busy and wasn't able to take more photos throughout the night, but we watched it through the window in awe.  What an amazing sight.

Claudia took some moon shots and I told her that I would post a couple of mine.  So here ya go.

I sure wish I would have gotten off my lazy butt last night and taken a photo of the moon, it was beautiful!!  Oh well!  If you guys decide to share some moon shots let me know.  I would love to see yours.  I've shown you mine, now it's your turn.
