Another One Down

There we have it.  Another week down, another day down.  I wanted to title this  Another One Bites the Dust, but I was afraid that it would just get that song stuck in everyone's head.  :)  Then I decided that if it is stuck in my head, then it should be stuck in your head too.  :)

It has been a really long week.  Next week we will Hit the Road Jack (another song that will be in my head) and you know what that means.  That means I had to bust my bohonkus at work so I could get everything done.  And I did it.  I managed to get everything done - I hope.  Oh I am sure I have forgotten something, but it will just have to wait.

This week we also had the wedding shower saga, see previous post.  Who would've thought there was so much todo over wedding showers. 

I plan on ending the week in a good way.  My friend, Stef, and I are going to be going to see Wicked tomorrow afternoon.  After hearing great reviews from friends, I am just dying to see it.  We will be able to do a little shopping, have a nice lunch and then enjoy the show.  Who knows, we may have dinner before we come home as well.  You just never know what we will do.  :)  We might even stop and take photos with an abandoned wheel chair.  Oh, you had to be there for that one.  We have a great time together.

Next week we will have one day to spend time together.  McD is always in meetings when we go on these trips, so I will have a lot of me time.  But we are going to go fly fishing for the first time; that is how we plan to spend our one day together.  I am really looking forward to that.

End of the Day in Oklahoma

The other day I barely made it home in time to catch the sunset.  Wow!  I am so glad I made it.  How can a day end badly after seeing such a beautiful sight? 

Sunsets

The photography bug has bit me again.  Sometimes when I get busy doing other things I forget to pick up the camera and admire everything around me through the lense.  Sometimes I see things in a whole new light when I look at them through my camera. 

This time I tried to capture the sunset.  And I am pretty pleased with what I have done.  I know there is room for improvement, but I am working on it.  What do you think?  Do you have a favorite?

2007 Lunar Eclipse

The beginning of the Lunar Eclipse on Saturday, March 3.  McD was building the fence and I was checking cattle when I remembered the Lunar Eclipse would be happening at 6:26pm. I drove like a bat out of hell to get home (I love Meatloaf's album Bat Out of Hell).  I came down the drive a bit faster than McD likes me to, so before he could tell me how I shouldn't barrel down the drive like that I hollered at him to jump in the truck.  We drove to the top of the hill and looked and looked for that crazy eclipse.  It seems like it took forever to find it, but when we did it looked like the first photo. 

I am a multi-tasker.  I had my phone up to my ear and camera in my hands.  McD also had his phone to his ear.  We were calling everyone we could think of, okay only four people, to remind them to look for it.  We only got a hold of my parents.  They saw it, but I am not sure if any of the others saw it.  I don't know how long it will be until we see one again, but we don't have to worry about it.  We have these photos to look back on.

The moon was amazing all night long.  I got busy and wasn't able to take more photos throughout the night, but we watched it through the window in awe.  What an amazing sight.

I sure wish I would have gotten off my lazy butt last night and taken a photo of the moon, it was beautiful!!  Oh well!  If you guys decide to share some moon shots let me know.  I would love to see yours.  I've shown you mine, now it's your turn.
