Night at the Movies

This past Saturday McD took me to dinner and a movie.  Do I hear some AHHH's out there?  About two weeks ago he asked me if I would like to go to the movies and I wanted to really bad, but I was sick.  So he told me to let him know when I wanted to go.  He didn't have to tell me twice.

Friday evening we were driving home from the best retirement party we had ever been to, and I asked what his plans were for the next day.  I don't know about you, but my husband sometimes forgets to tell me what he has going on.  He usually springs it on me the night before or that morning.  :)  He told me he would be doctoring cattle with Slick and then they were going to go and ride 007s place.  When he asked me what I had planned I told him I wanted to go to the movies.

He was so sweet, he went and doctored the cattle and then called to find out when my movie started so he would be home in time to get ready.  I really kind of thought he was going to call and tell me he wanted to go ride the other ranch, more or less putting off going to the movies.  I was wrong.

We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (or whatever it was called).  It was pretty good.  I say "pretty good" because the screaming baby next to us kept us from hearing half of what was being said.  Very, very annoying.  Then a man in front of us started taking pictures of the screen with his cell phone.  What the heck?  He was sitting with his wife and kid (not the screaming one) and they were talking about which photos to take.  He had to delete photos to have more memory for the new Orlando Bloom photos.

When we left the movies I had to go to JC Penney's because the gift card I received for graduation had burnt a hole in my pocket and was starting to burn my skin.  We began our long walk through the mall and got behind a couple of ladies that were pretty dressed up.  It was the funniest thing I had seen in a very long time.  We were both bummed that I didn't bring my camera into the mall.  One of the ladies had quite a large hiney, which made the back of the skirt shorter than the front.  She might not have been aware of it because she wore knee black knee highs with her skirt.  From the back, you could see black knee highs, about 3 inches of white skin and then the black ruffled skirt.  Oh, I laugh just thinking about it.

Then McD asked me to go to dinner, so I wouldn't have to cook.  He is such a great guy.

Quote of the Day, Dec 11

We're all travelers in the world.  From the sweet grass to the packing house.  Birth 'til death.  We travel between the eternities.
