What I Have Been Up To

I haven't been blogging much lately.  I feel like I have been taking the easy way out.  Sorry.  I decided that I should probably show you what I have been working on.

I can't really get into the story of this piece and why I am stitching it, but as soon as I finish it and it makes its way to the intended recipient I will fill you in.  :) 

What do you think about this one?

Doesn't it look like Ree's little B-Man and L.B.?  I considered doing this for her, but I am just not sure. 

Do people like getting crafty gifts like this?  My granny does.  I love to go to her house and see all of my stitching gifts to her framed and hanging on her walls.  It makes me smile. 

On another note:  Thank you to everyone that shared their knitting advice/knowledge with me.  Thank you for the encouragement as well.  I will post a photo of my first knitting project.  Just don't hold your breath for it, I still have to finish Footprints.

Ornament Swap - 2008

This year I got involved in an ornament swap on the about.com cross stitch forum.  This is the ornament I made.  Later this evening I will post the photo of the one I received. 

Making this ornament made me want to make more ornaments.  So, you might see more ornaments throughout the year next year.

I have been blog hopping.  What I do is find a new blog and then see a comment from someone that is funny, witty or even helpful.  Then I follow their link to their world.  I have found some really cool blogs and have realized just how small my little blog is.  :)  There are some really talented blogs out there.  I found many more out there, but I have to get to church I don't have time to link to all of them today. 

Ta-Da! It's finished!

Aiden's new bib.  It has been a long time coming too.  When I found out Kelly, one of our blogger friends, was having a baby I started looking for the perfect pattern.  It is hard to find a perfect pattern for a little guy that you've never met.  So I decided to keep with something boy like.  When I saw this one, I just had to make it for him. 

Then I kind of went stale on it.  I started the bib but with everything going with the new house, it kind of got put on the back burner.  I kept telling myself that poor Aiden would have kids of his own before I finished it if I didn't get on the ball.  It seems the only encouragement I needed was found when I visited another blogger friends site, Deb.  I went to her Melon Patch and then I went on to visit her other two blogs.  That was all I needed.  To see someone else's finished projects spurred me on.  And now you can see the finished product.

Thank you Deb for helping me get back on track.  I have so many gifts I need to make, you don't even have a clue as to how much I appreciate you.  :) 

Now head on over to Kelly's and wish them a belated Happy Anniversary, it was this past Friday.
