The Pioneer Woman Cooks Giveaway

Hello everyone!  Here is another chance to win an autographed copy of Ree's new book, The Pioneer Woman Cooks.  This cookbook is flying up the charts, in fact it should be #1!!

Last night I made her brisket, and her yummy mashed potatoes.  McD's  mouth was watering before he even got his plate.  This is really good food ya'll!

All you have to do is leave a comment.  Tell me something you are thankful for.  I am thankful for so many things, and I will list my between now and Thanksgiving day.  Again, EVERYONE is eligible for this giveaway, no matter where you live.

Well, it looks like most of you that voted would like to win one of Ree's cookbooks.  Here is the deal.  I have several to giveaway between now and December, so there will be more than one opportunity.

We will pretend this was the first poll, cause we all know what happened with the trial run.  :)  For my first poll, there were 36 votes.  Not to bad for the first poll, right?  And it is very easy to d, I think if more people knew how easy it was to vote then they would vote too. 

Out of 36 votes, 91.7% voted YES, and 8.3% voted IT'S A POSSIBILITY.  There were absolutely 0 NO votes.  That is nice.

From My Bookshelf to Yours #6 - Harry Potter

Some people may think I am crazy for doing this, but my full set was ruined when I let my sister borrow the first four books.  Apparently, she thought I gave them to her.  All of my first edition Harry Potter books?  m, no.  But they, she and my nephew, took little care of them and I decided that I did not want them back.  We discussed this over Thanksgiving.  At that point I had already decided to give the remaining three to the From My Bookshelf to Yours Giveaway.  So my loss could be a gain for you.

From My Bookshelf to Yours #5

After watching Mitch Albom on ESPN I wouldn't have pegged him for an author, and certainly not the author of this book.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven

I loved this book!  Loved.it!  I hope there are a few of you out there that would like to read it as well.

This book is about a man named Eddie.  He is in a freak accident, goes to heaven and meets five people who have significantly affected his life, whether he realized it or not.  It is really very interesting to see who he meets and why, but that is just my opinion.

Some people have said this book made them think about who they might meet in heaven.  I guess I am just not that deep, I read the book for what it was.  I appreciated his writing and did think about it all, but I did not go as far as making a list of who I might meet in heaven.  I already have my list of who I want to meet in heaven.  Might, schmight.  I want!  Like, I want to meet my maternal grandparents, my great-grandpa Joe, Elvis, okay I might be kidding on that one.  :)

Since today is the first day of December I have decided that today I will start listening to all my Christmas music!  (I think I just heard McD groan, and he is miles away.) 

So tell me, what is your favorite Christmas Music?
