Have you ever wondered what happens to gifts that you give people? Well, I am going to show you what happened to a couple of gifts that I received for my birthday this year.
Both of these gifts were given to me for my birthday this year. The first gift was from my mom. I have been wanting some house plants, and I just knew I could keep an Aloe Vera plant alive. The plant was a few years old, and she was wanting to get rid of it anyway. So, I took it and tried to give it a good home. It was doing pretty good, but I was worried that it wasn't getting enough sun. So I set it outside one sunny morning, hoping to perk it up some with a little sun.
Well, I kind of forgot it outside and this is what I found the next day.
Oops. I killed it. Not what I like to do, I wish I had a greener thumb.
The next gift was another birthday gift. My sister ordered it for me, and at the time of my birthday it hadn't come in yet. So I just got it a few weeks ago. I was kind of anxious to use it, so I made some cookies. This was my birthday gift from my sister.
So, I have killed one plant, and will eventually will kill this bottle of vanilla. I love this vanilla.
I don't even want to think about all the gifts we've given and what has happened to them. Hopefully people care more about those than I did the aloe vera plant. I do feel bad about killing the plant, really I do. I wonder what kind of house plant I could grow without any problems.

I am a house plant serial killer and right now I have two pretty dead looking aloe vera plants I'm trying to decide if I should bother attempting to revive. I always feel worst when I get plants from a family funeral and I can't keep those alive, but I comfort myself with thoughts that they came sick from the florist. It isn't me, it's the disease ridden florists and nurseries. Yeah, that's it.
