Something that I think needs to be done more often. Whether they are for a gift, gesture, homemade dinner, small favor, prayers, serving our country, etc.
Thank you notes. Thank you notes. Thank you notes.
I was surfing the web yesterday and came upon this site. It talks about Jamey Johnson asking for thank you cards/post cards for our troops. I know that this doesn't apply to all of my readers; some of you could care less about the US Military. But you have troops of your own that need the support.
This site has some really cute thank you notes. I wanted to find my favorites and list them all, but get this, there were too many of my favorites to list. I like the Lola cards, and the Peace thank you cards, among many others.
The last site I have for you is a friend of mines. Leslie is so creative; I wish I had half her talent. She makes all kinds of cards. Go visit her site.
My goal is to start sending good ol' fashioned notes, and thank you notes are at the top of the list. The first card I send will be through the USO to our troops, but the rest will be pen and paper baby!

Hey there!! I'm with you on thank you notes. I love writing and I love sending and receiving mail (old-fashioned-put-a-stamp-on-it mail). I'm excited to check out the links.....I make my own cards using decorative rubber stamps and also using my own photographs. I also give those as gifts.....so nice. Now I'm off to check out the links!!

My comment could so equally echo Melanie's. I, too, appreciate thank you notes and love to send and to receive a handwritten note. I also stamp and use my own photography to hand decorate cards.
Today I followed your suggestion and wrote a thank you to our soldiers. Thank you for the nudge! It was so easy to do...

OMG, a mention! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! oxoxoxo
And I tried to instill the habit of thank you notes with my two boys, right down to the personalized stationery and hand-made (by me) wooden pens.
I do send boxes of my cards to Cards For Soldiers now and then - what a worthy cause!
Thanks, again, for the mention!!
