That is what I am! I have been trying to post for two days now and still no luck.

Let's see, what good can I find here? Hmmm, I guess I am learning patience and that has to be a good thing...right?

Twisters

Twisters hit our state last night and early this morning.  In fact, one hit very close to home, 6 or so miles from the house.  The other one hit a quarter of a mile from McD's office, and it hit my place of employment.  Well, I say my place of employment, one of our stores.  

We were up until 2 am this morning watching the weather until the power went off, at which point we listened to the weather radio.  I spent 15 minutes packing necessities into the storm shelter.  What do you put in there that you need?  The more I thought about it, the more I put in there.  I think we should have made that safe room bigger.  I didn't think about having to get two big dogs and a cat in there with us.  

There are lots and lots of dark clouds in the sky again today, but you know there is always a silver lining to a dark cloud.  Those dark clouds carry rain, much needed rain and we got 4 inches of it.  We are thankful for that.  The 4 inches of rain also caused a lot of destruction.  We will be working on fixing water gaps and fence for a while.  

The good things about the storm we went through last night:

4 inches of rain

ponds are full

grass is green and growing

Internet Issues

I really, really do not like having Internet issues, who does? We really are too dependent on this world wide web stuff, but it is so much fun!

Last night I tried for hours to get a post up. It never worked, and I went to bed a little frustrated.

I got up this morning and tried again. It is being super stubborn!

How am I going to find good in this?

Well, McD gave me an iPhone for valentine's day. This morning I downloaded the typepad app and believe it or not I am blogging as we cruise down the highway. Sweetness!

MARIO is in the House

Some of you might remember that back in December I couldn't find MarioKart any where. A very sweet reader even offered to buy one and send it to me, but at that point I had already ordered one. That fell through and I was on the hunt again.

Yesterday (this is actually yesterday's post- read today's post and you will understand) I was shopping for my dad's birthday present and just happened to see if they had a MarioKart. They did!

Now, Mario is in the house!

Today is the beginning of...

another year of my life and a new style of blogging for me.

Everyday I will post something good.  I have found myself being very negative lately.  I really don't like that about myself.  So I am going to be trying to find at least one good thing about everyday.  More than likely my posts will be made at night, I have to have time in the day for all the good things to happen (and they will).  But if you want to read something "good," then join me.  I would love to hear about the good things that happen to you too!

I am posting this one early, because I plan on getting home really late tonight.  Lion King here I come!!  I am stoked!!  (Yes, I am old, I still say stoked.) 

Since I am starting this "Good Thing" stuff today, here is what is good about today...

I am still kicking!  I am a year older and am loving life!  I am spending the evening with my wonderful husband (who is going to sit through the Lion King with me and probably pretend he likes it).  I am going to have lunch with a great friend (I hope) and I am taking off work early!!!  (That might be the best part!)

Big Plans!

Big plans, that is what I have. 

Tomorrow is my birthday!  Yes, yes it is.  Why am I telling you this?  Because I have big plans and I want to tell someone about it.  That is why. 

My loving husband is taking me to see the Lion King.  It is being performed at the Civic Center not too terribly far from here, and he is taking me.  I am so excited!!!  I wish I could dress up like Vivian in Pretty Woman, in that beautiful red dress and borrow some jewels from my jeweler friends.  And then be jetted there in my GMC pickup.  :)  Well, you know one foot has to stay on the ground.  :)

I also have more big plans.  It has to do with this blog.  For a little while I forgot I had a blog.  Seriously!  I remembered all of your blogs and have been reading them in the Google Reader.  But the desire to write, just wasn't there.  But come back tomorrow and I will have put my plan into action.
